Find the difference

I just looked at the Ride Xti in Waterski Magazine.

The ski-pole is in front of the engine box.

This is normal. But if you have a good look at the Malibu site, you can see that the pole is build in the engine box!! Just like the other xti models!!!

Anyone now what is going on?

Look at the pics in this link of an 05 iRide. The pylon is in front of the box. With the Ride series they are trying to save some money for a lower price point so maybe the pylon in front of the motor box is cheaper.

since they had everything setup for the 21xti it seems that it would make sense to put it in the engine box. I'm guessing the pictures in the magazine were a preproduction test. I'd trust malibu's site more than a magazine.
