Transmission fluid level check

Recommended Posts

I recently changed the trans fluid om my 2002 Sunsetter. I extracted 1.6 quarts and added the same. When checking the fluid level should the dip stick be screwed in or should the dip stick be inserted without screwing it in.

It appears the level is too high when screwing in the dipstick.

Thanks Judd

Hey Judd,

Just checked my ZF transmission manual. It says to not screw the dipstick in when checking fluid level.

Cheers,

Dan
