Perfect Pass - Intermittent speed monitoring

I had my engine re-built over the winter. Did not use a dealer, but I used a race car speed shop and saved a lot(~35%). When I got the boat back Perfect Pass (classic version) did not register a speed. Then, for about a week it did... now it is not working again.

I am thinking my mechanic may have loosely connected some wire somewhere. Or it is just coincidence that it is happening now.

I don't even know where to start. Any ideas what could be wrong?

Thanks!

I'd start with the paddle wheel. If the PP powers up and looks ok except for the speed, it sounds like it's missing the speed signal. Hopefully it's something that can be fixed with a little WD40. Looks like you've had a pretty rough year and deserve a break.
