Fuel Gauge Isn't Working? 2007 LSV

Hi guys. Could really use some help. I just got my 2007 Wakesetter LSV boat back from the stereo shop and they told me that while testing the new stereo they noticed that my fuel gauge wasn't working. I have a half a tank of fuel in the boat but the gauge shows empty. The LCD screen did show 9% fuel for about 5 minutes but now shows 0%. All my other gauges work fine if that helps. Can anyone give me a step by step process of what to check or trouble shoot to find the problem. So far in the forums it looks like it could be a fuel sending unit, fuel gauge or wiring issue. The gauge worked fine last year but he boats been in store and hasn't run until after the stereo shop upgraded the tunes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have no idea what the sender is like on the 07's, but every time I have trouble with mine the ground spade connector on the top of the sending unit got accidentally pulled off. I shove it back on and all the sudden my tank has gas in it again.

I did as you said and checked the connections on top of the sending unit and both have good strong connections. Any other ideas? I appreciate the help.

Maybe someone siphoned your gas tank dry.

I wish that was the case because it would be the easiest and most likely the cheapest repair I've ever had on this boat. Its amazing how many things go wrong each year with these toys.
