alarm beeps at high rpm's

Recommended Posts

I have a 2003 LSV with the 335 Monsoon and at high rpm's the alarm beeps and stays beeping until I turn the key off. At slow speeds it is fine. I have replaced the oil pressure switch and that didn't help. You can wake surf all day long and it is fine. It seems to only do it at high speeds or higher rpm's. Could this be related to the fuel pressure? I have read some forums and the alarm is not part of the fuel system. I checked the fuel pressure at idle and it was only 20 psi. Help!!

When the alarm is beeping what does the temp gage read? Could be you need to replace the impeller. When was it last changed?

I'm not sure when It was last changed. The temp guage reads the same. I think around 160. I also already changed the knock sensor.

High RPM alarm is usually caused by this.

What prop is on the boat? Seems like this might happen if the prop is letting the engine exceed max RPM

IIRC the rev limiter does not cause engine alarm.
