Dashboard Modification for new instrument

I just bought a 2005 Wakesetter 23 LSV and had the pp stargazer installed today. They replaced my rpm tach with the pp. Attached is a photo of what my dash looks like. My question is where or how or what kind of depth sounder I should install. I would like it to be smooth and clean looking and was considering the below options. I am definitely mounting the transducer IN HULL so no drilling and no transom.

Any suggestions on dashboard mods or if there is a place i can buy a different dash "board" to mount all my guages etc would be very helpfull. Also suggestions on somewhere else to mount it would be fine too. I appreciate the help in advance. Ive never owned a boat much less a BU' so I am very excited !

I would get the smaller one from west marine. Make an aluminum plate and mount it to the stereo remote bracket and mount it so it is below your remote.

i have some options depending on how adventurous you are.

im planing on (eventually) gutting a depth finder and remote mounting the display in my dash. you could put it where your current malibu emblem is. I can help you with ideas/techniques on how to do this. (i have a build thread if you want to check out what is achievable) luckily malibu uses abs plastic (at least they did on my older bu) and it's very easy to work with.

another idea, if you aren't comfortable with hacking up the gauge itself. is doing what i did in my rx-7 back in the day. you could make an angled gauge pod where that malibu emblem is.

this is what they sell

here are a couple pics. i wouldn't actually buy the premade pod since it's 110 bucks and you can easily make your own for about $5 in home depot parts or slightly more if you modify an autometer gauge pod

Why not get the factory finder from Malibu and have it on the display in the speedo.

I didn't want to spend the 500+ for the factory one.

So I purchased the NORCROSS MARINE

D10D Hawkeye Digital Depth Sounder

Now I am going to install the transducer "in-hull". My question is WHERE ! I have now idea where to even start on where to put it or where to run the cable from the transducer to the dash.

Thanks for the help in advance and for all the suggestions on mounting it !
