Getting old sucks.  I just had an Epidural Steriod Injection into L4 this last Friday.  3rd one since 99.  Pressure on the nerves will create some outerworldly pain.  I feel like a million bucks now. 

I wouldn't that type of pain on anyone.

I had numerous nerve facet blocks and steroid injections on my L4-L5 over the last 7 years. I finally had to go under the knife in July for a microdiscectomy.

I still have pain in my lumbar, but nothing like before the surgery. I had tried it all, but nothing worked for any length of time.

Hang in there John and Bill, I feel your pain.
