Anchor/Pole Light

Anybody know where the anchor light is stored on a '99 SS VLX? At first, I just assumed the previous owner lost or broke the light. But after looking again, I can't even find storage mounts for it.

If it's supposed to be under the flip up seat, then that would explain it. The previous owners broke that seat, and had the bottom of it replaced. Must have left out the light.

After the tower goes up, I guess I'll have to get me a fancy shmancy tower light, too :)

Guess I should clarify. Mine aren't physically mounted to the underside of the seat, they are mounted to the inside of the vertical wall that supports the seat, right under the long seat hinge.

different boat, different problem but the solution may be similar.

response anchor light is mounted beneath the rear seat on pliable pillow blocks.

the day the new boats come home the rear seat goes into the garage rafters.

in looking for an alternative i found the pillow blocks will mount on the studs that hold the upholstery around the gunnels. perhaps if the last owner was trying to relocate the storage you might find it hiding under the gunnels.

the last owners garage is another place you may want to look. Biggrin.gif

Juice,

Mine never had a dedicated mounting place. It was just in the under-seat storage when we got the boat. I've since moved mine to the area next to the driver seat under the armrest, on the floor.

If you've searched the boat and can't find the light, then it's most likely not there.

Fancy-shmancy......... It's made with pipe insulation, isn't it???? And battery powered, too! Tease2.gif

(or did you spring for the Titan light too. I don't have a pic yet, but it's up there and works too!)

It is not made from pipe insulation... Whistling.gif ...It's made out of sewer pipe. ROFL.gif

Actually I think there may be some pipe insulation inside of it to make it fit snug.

Now Troy and Shannon are gonna be fighting over the "D" cell batteries. Innocent.gif
