Broken cooling system fitting

Recommended Posts

2004 VLX 340 Monsoon

During the fall winterization I broke a fitting and am looking for a replacement. Can anyone help me identify this item and where to buy?

Black abs plastic "TEE". One end has a pipe thread with a diameter measuring of about 7/8", one end is for a slip-on hose with diameter of 1" and the third end is for a slip-on hose diameter of 5/8".

This fitting is located down low on the starboard side and is part of the cooling system.

Thanks for any help!

You sure it's part of the cooling system and not a hot water pick-up line for a shower and heater? I know that HeaterCraft heaters use 5/8" hose and the one shower that I have worked on used 1" diameter hose. The ~7/8" pipe threads sound like the measurement of 1/2" NPT which would be the pipe thread size for most plugs on a block (source for hot water). Either way, I would go to the hardware store and build the fitting out of bronze pieces so that you don't have the breakage problems again.

Your not the only one that breaks that fitting off, trust me!!

Sounds like you are looking for this t fitting on the bottom of a ETX exhaust manifold.

If that doesn't look like it we have most of them listed here.

Hope this helps

Paul
