VLX Throttle Linkage Adj

Recommended Posts

I've got a question here, my throttle begins to advance before the gear shift is engaged. There is perfect pass installed and seems to work just fine, the engine is the Monsoon MPI.

How do I adjust the linkage to solve this so the gear is engaged at idle rpm. The end of the throttle cable at the Morse control is set about in the middle of the threads. The carb end is connected to the PP wire.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Could be slack / slop in your shift cable connections.

I'd check that first before messing with the throttle cable because of its interface with PP.
