Hey gents,

Would a 1100lbs Fly High sac fit in the back trunk of 2006 VLX? Bag looks pretty big too me......

Will fit, but not fill up all the way. It will give you more weight than the 750. Issue is that you will need to reinforce the panels to the engine or they will bow in to the engine compartment. do a search and you will see some people with the mod.

Hey Guys: I gave wakemakers a call a while back regarding 750's and 1100's in my 23 lsv and they stated that even the 1100 doesn't quite fill in my 23' boat. They stated that the 750 is the largest bag for the VLX. In their opinion you are just wasting your money purchasing the larger bag (1100) for the VLX. Give them a call. They were very helpful and knew everything about Malibu boats.

100% disagree! I changed over to 1100# bags in my vlx and yes there is a differance.. would I say 250# no. But 150# yes.. The bag will not fill all the way but it will max out the space. And give you more than 750#.

I just got off the phone with Spencer at Wakemakers and he does agree, a very slight weight increase by going to the 1100 bags. At the most a 100 pounds. However, you will need to reinforce the panel to see this increase. He also educated me that from 2009 and newer Malibu's, the factory made the rear locker "smaller", so the bag fits even worse or less water. He also let me know that he believed the slight weight increase had "NO" effect on the surf outcome compared to a 750. So, is it worth it to spend the extra money? Again, my advice is give them a call before you make a purchase. They are a great resource.

Just my opinion.
