How to replace a fuel pump and fuel filters

Recommended Posts

I just bought a 98 Echelon. I got it checked out and the mechanic said it runs great but may need a new fuel pump at some point in the near future. It is kind of loud but working fine. I am wondering if I should just replace it now? Also, I searched and haven't found any threads on how to go about replacing it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Replace the fuel filters and clean the screen at the inlet of the pump and it may stop.

The pumps for an EFI engine run around $250 so I wouldn't rush to replace it. As for actually replacing it, its like 1 hose clamp, a couple of fittings and a clamp to hold the pump. Just put the new one where the old one was.
