Life comes at you fast. As many of you know, I have been lusting for a new Bu for a lot of years. Wife and I decided this was the year. No more playing around. We are buying a boat. Headed off to the boat show to make the big purchase. Headed over to Malibu to look at the VTX and VRide After looking around the show and talking to a few other dealers, we hit the Nautique dealer since I had found a nice used one and wanted my wife to take a look. I love the boats but didn't think my wife would. Low and behold, we ended up purchasing a brand new SAN 210 TE. Honestly, didn't see that coming but we are really excited. I thought we might wander back to take a look at the VLX but not a chance. The decision was made.

Hopefully Tracy will still let me hang out around here :innocent:

CONGRATS!!! You just purchased a hell of a boat! Nautique has done some really nice things with their new boats. It's great to see them finally break away from their same old routine. I really like what they are producing.

I was at that show as well.......we didn't get to spend the quality time I had hope due to an ill 2.5 year old. However, I found myself glued to the RLXI with the vette engine in it that was sold......what a beautiful boat that is.

Congrats again.....and where in SE MI are you?

WHAT??!!??! talk about a blindside...

enjoy the new ride

LOL! Tell me about it! Misses hadn't looked at a boat and all of the sudden it was love at first sight. You don't screw with "spousal approval".

No doubt. Congrats again. You must be super excited.

No question! It has been a LONG time coming. Just happy to pull the trigger and move forward. How about you? Getting a new boat this year?

Yes however I'll be getting a "new to me" boat rather than one fresh off the line. Still equally exciting.

No question!! ANY boat is a good boat. My original plan was to buy used. After losing out on a few really good deals, I decided we needed to be a little more proactive. Little did I know the misses was ready to go "all-in". 20yrs of marriage and she still surprises me! Life is good.

That's great! I understand missing a few good deals alright. It's happened to me too. That's why we went to the show yesterday but the sick 2.5 year old put a damper on her enthusiasm.

The Dexter / Pinckney chain of lakes is pretty nice. I used to live just off of Strawberry. It's very busy on the weekends and going through the river can sometimes be challenging in a DD boat, particularly coming into and going out of Strawberry. I really is a beautiful body of water though.

Kids do that. Just wait until they are teenagers. Then they start adding really expensive options to the boat!! Hopefully you can get over there today. I was going to take my teenage son up but we have a hockey banquet downtown.

This is our first boat, but I grew up boating on Long lake and Union. We will be hanging out on Klinger Lake on the west side of the state this year.
