Dual Battery

Hello All,

I have a 1999 Malibu Response LX that is an open bow without the walk thru. I just added a couple of amps and a subwoofer and have been told it would be in my best interest to add a second battery. What all do I need and what would be the best location? Thanks for any help

I am in the process of adding a second battery to my 2008 VLX. I am using the Blue Sea Add-a-Battery Kit. It has a switch that connects each battery to seperate engine and house loads and an Automatic Charging Relay that charges both batteries when the engine is running. In addition to this kit, you will need 5 cables:

* Battery 1 - to Battery 2 -

* Battery 1 + to Switch

* Battery 2 + to Switch

* Battery 1 + to ACR

* Battery 2 + to ACR

I am getting these custom made from GenuineDeals.com.

Hopefully you can install the 2nd battery adjacent to the 1st one. This will help keep the connection cables short.

Can you send pictures when it's all done. That would be great.
