Hi everyone New here

I have just Sold my 1983 2001 Skit Nautique looking at something newer now,

My question is i am primarily using the boat for Surfing and Wakeboarding normally around 5 of us on board, where no professionals just doing it as a hobby. im looking at a 1999 LX response, has tower wedge ectect

What i want to know is the wake really like behind one, now i know im not buying a new wake setter but am i going to be disappointed , i was hoping to get away with wedge down a 150kg bag in the locker and one up forward as i said i dont want to go silly. my Nautique used to set a reasonable wake with a bag on he back and 4 of us around the front

Any info would be awesome thanks!

We have a '98 which my wife uses for skiing and I use for wakeboarding. I'm not very good and have never road behind a dedicated wakeboard boat so I'm probably not the best to comment on the particulars of a wake. It puts out a large enough wake to go wake-to-wake. Other than that I can't comment on the particulars.

The biggest issue I see is space for ballast. The '99 has a trunk space that the '98 doesn't so that helps and if you don't mind losing the front you will probably be happy. A dedicated wakeboard boat would be better but if there is a Response available for a price you like it's a great boat. If you ski, you will absolutely love it.

The trunk has a fuel tank under the carpet and is not designed for weigh over 75 lbs. I remove the rear seat and run with the fly high rear seat bag and play with the two fly high side sacs on the side of the engine or one side sac in the bow. No wedge the wake is not bad.
