While I was in northern Vermont snowmobiling, Mrs. CT and some of the river crew were kicking off the 2011 season in our buddies Echelon Saturday. Yup, they're nutz....

Wow man you guys have us beat. We usually shoot for the end of march, then we snow ski the day after. That sure sends the body for a loop. Early march with ice in the water is craaazy!!

Awesome! Way to be!

I got the paddleboard out. It was gorgeous & like 45 degrees. But the water still has plenty of ice on it. At one point it was like paddlin in a Slurpee.

Then the ice got so thick I could paddle up on to it before it would break.

Our own beach has a bunch of ice on it where the wind has been pushing it in.

Can you say " SHRINKAGE" !!!!! Wow that looks cold. Glad I am in my warm lazyboy chair watching Nascar and drinkin beer!!

Yea, if I sit on my butt all the time & start expanding.

I didn't head out on the lake till after the race was over. And I was hotter than he11 when I got out of the NRS dry suit. I think I got my feet wet a tiny bit. And beers were before, during & after the race & the surf run.
