Fuel Usage per hour on VLX

I was trying to find on this forum where the fuel usage per hour was, I'm sure it has been discussed before, any links??

Thats an interesting question but I don't think easily answered. There are so many variables that getting consistent numbers may be difficult. I guess if you are driving in a straight line on a calm lake at x miles per hour you may stand a chance. I am sure Indmar must have some basic numbers based on engine performance alone. Otherwise I think everything changes to much to even get a viable average. Good one. Looking forward to hearing any answers. Any gearheads out there?

I have an 06 VLX with non cat Monsoon 340 hp. I track every gallon used per season. At end of year it always ends up 5.25 gallon per hour + or _ about .5 gallon. That includes Hydrofoiling @ 23 mph no ballast no wedge, Surfing @ 10.8 mph full MLS plus 750lb surf side - 0 lbs non surf side and manual wedge down. More hydrofoiling than surfing. Cruising to and from ride and hangout spots. Usually around 100 to 125 hours total per year.

If Oregon keeps it up everything will become a no wake zone and your gph will go through the roof. Sounds like there are some real winners in government down there, here is no different.
