You are in luck - I have the same boat and can shed some light on what you may want to do.

Back when we were really riding aggressively we would put 500lbs behind the engine under the removable seat structure / 500 lbs on each side of the engine in the walkway and then 500 lbs on the walkway up to the front of the boat. 2000lbs total and typically would have a couple people sit in the front as well. A good 4 blade prop was also helpful.

I also had the wedge - but never put it down. Liked the wake better with weight versus wedge.

Another option you could try would be. 500 on each side of the engine with the butt of the sac closer to the rear versus being centered on the engine box as listed in the previous 2000ln setup. I would still run 500 up front as well.

Murph is right. The best I could ever get was two side, one rear, one locker, one in the walkway, no wedge. Since that is a pain to deal with sometimes I would run 1 in the locker and 1 behind the engine (Under the seat when you raise it to make the sunpad) plus the wedge.

the bow storage looks rather shallow is there not a sack that will fit in there? also it has a center ski locker, have you ever put anything in there? Also the rear storage above the rear seat can that be utilized or is that what your talking about when you say removable seat?

i dont quite understand what you mean when you sad make the rear seat a sun pad? forgive me yesterday is when i bought the boat for only 6000 with not a scratch on it and looks brand new interior... im amazed i found the boat ! it runs like a charm ? i would really like to plumb in the ballast if at all possible with maybe having 2, 500lb sacks beside the engine that i can fill with a aerator pump... i would like to use a simer pump for the others? any suggestion would be very much appreciated.

The sunpad is created by pulling the base of the seat out and setting it on top the armrests. It creates the perfect spot for a bag underneath but you can't sit back there. There is a locker and it fits a 500lb bag. You can use the bow but it's a waste. If anything just toss 200lbs of lead up there. Personally I wouldn't bother with an automated system and never did myself because the hassle wasn't worth it. If you do 2 sacks next to the doghouse then you have to put one in the locker to balance it out.

ok i understand somewhat now ... i was looking forward to plumbing in the ballast but if i prob cant put a bow sack i dont see the need .. when u say the locker are u talking about the one in the FLoor? im sorry i havent really got all the terminology down yet. ive been wakeboarding behind a outboard for 3 years that throws the smallest wake possible and i havent quite fig out where everything is on the boat yet.

Lots of people have experience with that boat here so I am sure if you can't find the answer via "SEARCH" then you can get it by asking.

Ahh the memories.

My advice would be to manually fill and drain your sacs for a season or at least half a season. It will take you a couple of times to figure out where you want the weight.

Once you have it dialed in, it will not be that hard to create a custom system.

ya that probly would be best but like yall said i just want the best wakeboarding wake possible. and still possible plumb in the ballast.. Where would you recommend buying the sacs from?

Check out this thread for some good info on a semi-integrated ballast system in a DD. You could plumb up something similar for your SS. :surfing:

I am jealous of your find. I would buy one of those in a second for 6G's

PS. WE NEED PICS!!!

:plus1: That is a great thread for a good idea how set-up a DD ballast system.

Here's a youtube vid I did as a ballast system "walk through" on my old Skier....

Ya I'm kinda speechless the boat has not been in salt water . I'm unsure about the decals they just seem to be flaking off almost like they were put in wrong... The old owner doesn't know what happened to the windshield it was like that when he bought it... I'm gonna wax her and I will post pics tomorrow .
