I shouldnt complain because it's nowhere near as bad here, but.......I went out a week ago, first time this season, water temp 54, air temp 65. Just enough to get the "itch". Since then it's been total doo-doo. And finally this weekend the sun peeks out and winds are blowing 20+mph. Tomorrow the forecast is mid 70s but winds still blowing hard. Even warmer on Monday, but again, 15mph winds. Even so, we'll try a few sets. Got the 2011 Shane this week and dying to try it out!

Its gonna be 50 and sunny here today... there is still a bunch of Ice fisherman out on the lake, I think there is about 2 feet of Ice left.

I'm so pumped for this year though.

1 1/2 inch of snow in less then 20 minuets around 2:00 PM today.

Woke up to 2" of snow on Sunday. Ripped the snowmobile that sits the most up and down the shoreline on the ice to get it up to temp at least once this season, then parked them all.

When we got home from the cottage, I could at least see the bottom of the door to the back garage where the boat sits. If I had to I could get the boat out, but there's nowhere to float it right now.

I can see open water ! The lake to the North is opening up. Some huge piles of wood and junk coming down with the open water but that is usual.

So will the lake open and can we get a boat in before the 15th?
