Replacing Perfect Pass with Zero Off on 2008 Response LXI - Solved

Hi All,

I have just received my complete Zero Off kit and would like to install it over the weekend. This includes the upgrade to the engine control unit. I will be replacing my Perfect Pass on my boat.

Has anyone done this before? Any guidance will be apprecaited.

Thank you

Johan

It's so easy that you can do it wearing a tuxedo.

I am sure it is but the silly thing is, here are the basics I need to figure out

  1. How to remove the perfect pass gauge?
  2. What is the best route to run the Left GPS antenna cable through to the Zero Off gauge?
  3. What is the best route to run the right GPS antenna cable through to the Zero Off gauge?
  4. Do i need to drill holes for the cables?

The cable connectors and the control unit seems to be stock standard stuff.

1) take screws out of malibu logo on dash and up top (if aplicable)...dash will come out remove gauge from rear.

2) dunno

3) dunno, maybe through the faux vent by windshield?

4) dunno

As easy as pie. Thank you for all the help.

1. Replaced the gauge as described here.

2. Installed the new Control Unit on the motor. ( 4 screws and 3 connectors)

3. Removed Perfect pass and cables.

4. I ran the GPS cables underneat the windows in the corners. Had to move the windows slightly forward to get the plug through.

5. Plugged in everything.

Been on the water and all working perfect!!.

Regards

Johan
