Malibu Ignition Key

I bought my boat used, and it only came with one key. I took the one I have to a place that makes key copies, but they can't match the blank. Anyone know where I can get one made maybe by using the hull number????, or at least buy a blank? I don't like the thought of sending my original out for fear of it getting lost in the mail...then I am SOL.

The local Home Depot copies our Malibu keys no problem. The plastic cover on your keys pop off and the actual key is a plain standard key.

Malibu doesn't offer any key service or sell any blanks. I contacted the manufacture of the ignition switch and they will sell blanks but only at a 500 quantity so Malibu would have to be the one to make a purchase that big and have it be worth while.

Good luck getting a copy made locally, it shouldn't be that tough.
