Service Manuals for a 2005 VLX

Hi There,

I finally purchased my Malibu! I'm pretty stoked (got to freeze my a** of testing it out in November). Anyways, I got a 2005 VLX and there are a couple of problems. Is there a Malibu service manual? I can't find one searching the net. I know cars always have one, is there something similar for a boat? My tachometer is not working and I just want to get a wiring diagram for it... also I wouldn't mind just having a service manual for it as it makes life easy!

Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks,

Graham

PS: Why can't I post in the DIY tech section?

The only book out there is the one in my sig.

It won't have a wiring diagram showing the tach circuit and, technically, it doesn't go up to your year boat but, it's the only thing out there.

So, being the only thing out there... is it worth while to get? My brother (hes a bus mechanic), told me to get him the service manual and he would be able to fix it for me no problem... so I'm just wondering, is it going to have basic stuff in there that a mechanic already knows from school... or will it actually be useful with specific information about the particular boat?

Sorry about all the questions.

Thanks,

Graham

i can't help you but don't be sorry about asking questions, the crew (hmmm, is that 3rd person talk?) is all about helping out.

Can you post a pic of your tach, it may be that someone has one lying around, that you could get for cheap or less.
