Malibu bimini on the G3 tower

I tend to rate difficult tedious jobs on the "How many beers" scale. This is a very simple zero beers job. Ok, maybe one beer, but just to raise a toast to the engineer that came up with the stowed position.

It depends on which bimini the boat has. There are two different biminis depending on if it is an early or late model production. The early models are not as simple but still not too bad, when it is folded and the boot is on these are layed to rest at behind the tower and kind of in the way. The newer generation biminis have a release pin on either side for a break point and they fold forward and the boot can be attached to the tower to secure it kind of like the 07-08 Illussion bimini was. IMO the newer style is a lot easier and faster to open and close and it is totally out of the way when it's closed.

None of the full Bimini tops (including ours) are easy to fold up.

It's 10 inches smaller (in the front) but the Bake's T-top we developed was the answer to our customers having so much difficulty with the full size Bimini tops. Easy to take on, take off, and is a lot stronger now that the front can't pivot.

It's actually really easy if you have 2 people....with 1 it's a little difficult (especially if it is windy). With the exception of how it mounts when you're not using it, I wouldn't think twice about buying it again. It's really sturdy.

I agree simple with two, A little tricky with one, its hard to fold up and keep the poles from hitting speakers and other parts of the boat, So If possible I have help. But other then that love how it folds up and stores on the front of tower. Lot's of room and out of the way!

Does anyone have a pic of the forward folding Bimini? Mine folds back and it would be awesome if there was some kind of kit to get it folding forward.
