Storage Facility

Recommended Posts

We took the boat today and put it in storage. The place where we keep it has some pretty nice extras that we made use of this time -

Boat cleaning stations -

Covered area, with concrete pad (about 24 x 20)

Industrial size shop vac, wall mounted, with lots of hoses.

Fresh water for washing the boat / trailer.

Large buckets for use.

Dishwashing soap.

Scrubbers, brushes, etc.

Shower facility and restrooms.

We took advantage of the warm weather in Kentucky this week (74F today) and cleaned everything before putting it inside.

Washed the boat and trailer (took my own buckets, soap and sponges).

Waxed the boat.

Polished the chrome.

Then backed it into the storage unit and closed the door.

:)

It was great to be able to wash and wax the boat just before putting it away.

It is called Traces on the Cumberland and is just south of Burkesville.

Very close to DHL State Park and Sulphur Creek Resort.

Open storage, covered storage and fully enclosed.

They aso do a "valet" service in a large storage barn where they move your boat in and out for you.

wow man sounds like a great place!

Just checking - you didnt use dish washing soap on your boat, did you...? They typically tend to remove wax pretty well.

Actually, yes, a very mild dishwashing soap (not dishwasher).

The Malibu Owners book recommends this.

And I waxed it after the wash.
