Illusion X Towers on Slalom Boats

There has been a few discussions about towers on slalom boats, in particular the RLXi. While I'm not here to advocate either way, there has been enough interest in using the Illusion X tower for me to create a diagram of how the tower will effect the slalom line.

It's online in a jpeg format for those that would like to view it.

For those that don't care, the end result is that if you ski at 35' off or longer line lengths, you can basically mount any tower you like and it will not be in the way. If you ski into 38' off or shorter, the line will effectively shorten as it wraps around the tower leg, and likely feel like someone is goosing the throttle. Not a desirable effect.

Lines are color coded for standard pylon, Response/Response LX, and Response LXi. The RLXi is noticable different due to the windsheild length, forcing the tower to be mounted a longer distance behind the pylon.

The pdf file is better, if you prefer it send me an email address. I don't have any place to host a pdf for download.

Peter.
