So my family is asking for ideas for Xmas and my birthday I can come up with some but thought the brains here would get a kick out of helping

Remember we are a first time boat owner with a 05 vride, we have factory ballast and we have fat sacs. But no tower speakers and racks those I would concider high end gifts I was thinking more along the lines of more gas cans, lil shop vac, Navi light for top of the tower. Well go to it surprise me.

You may want to include a list of everything that your boat already has, right down to pop up cleats & bow light, that way we know what accessories you already have.

Just off the top of my head:

Fenders & dock line

Portable battery jump kit

Racor LG50 (if you have the gas vent problem that is)

Pop up cleats

Pop up bow light

Rope & handle of your choice

Accessories for stereo (remote, iPod integration, etc.)

Bissel Little Green steam cleaner (the one that heats the water)

Dewalt portable shop vac (I have this one & love it, it will run off of either a Dewalt battery or power cord)

Motor box insulation kit would be atop my list right now.

Tracie-how does the green bissel work on the carpet? I need something. With a 3 year old and all of her snacks in the boat my carpet needs mucho attention.

It works good! This is the one that I got, I think it was about $100 from Sears. Worth every penny IMO, & not just for the boat (with kids & pets, it's a great thing to have around the house). I have an upright as well, but the nice thing about this little guy is that you can leave the cleaning fluid in it, so it's ready to go at a moment's notice. Again, get the one that heats the water.

oil extractor. I ordered the oil boy per everyone's recommendation on here, but Barts was out, so I got the marina pro--the green one---awesome!! Used it this weekend for the first time. It was the greatest!! So superior to running drain hose out plug!

What about a carpet insert?

I will be adding tower speakers lights and board rack cover. boat wax, binding lube, new flag, and shames for wiping down the boat are all great for the stocking.

Oh yeah, the shower would be a good one as well.

This is the single most popular accessory on my boat in the spring and fall-even more than the heater! I drive most of the time so I love the heater.

I'll be looking into doing the motorbox insultation, shower, new prop probably the OJ 13x12 XMP, and a new ski.  Most of all the best xmas gift is more time on the boat!!

I'm forcasting a V-Drive on Jess' list Tease2.gif ... might as well hold off on the prop and insulation; those won't be necessary
