Fins and Rudders

I know you'll think I'm crazy but I don't like the way my Gorilla fins and rudder are looking. They are pretty dark, dull and rough. I tried to clean them but metal polish didn't help much. Anyone ever replace them with polished stainless like the old Corvette boat had. Or could I sand them smooth and polish them so they look as great as all the other hardware?

WELL YEAH!!, It fricking rains for ten months up here. :badmood::cry::beer::)

Look at the bright side, at least you can stare out the window at that fancy Vetteboat sitting in the driveway.

Sitting in the driveway? Sorry but mine is under glass, nice and warm and dry inside my garage, I just came in while the wax is drying to a haze before I buff it. I think I wax it twice for each time it hits the water. Is it possible to wax it too much?SDC10036.jpg

Driveway/garage same deal I was just ribbing you anyways. I'm not sure it's possible to wax to much, it's not like you're going to buff the gelcoat off with rubbing compound. But 2 coats between outings you may have an issue. Either there is a rediculous ammount of time between outings and you need some bonding time with the boat, or you need counseling. Everyone things I'm bad, but I don't think I have anything on you  .

I can understand Joe, I was thinking the same about my fins and rudder. I guess being in the hot rod world as well has rubbed off into by new boat. PS I usually wax my car about five times a summer  , don't feel bad joe
