Winterization...Fogging, K&N, PCV

I'll be winterizing my boat for the first time in a couple of weeks. I've got most of it figured out except fogging the engine. It is the 335hp Monsoon engine. The Indmar manual says to take off the flame arrestor and spray in there, but my engine has one of the pink K&N cone filters which I don't think is a typical flame arrestor. I've been told by a Mastercraft dealer that I should spray into the hose leading to the PCV valve, but this doesn't seem right. Finally, the Clymer's manual has a somewhat convoluted system that involves hooking up a separate fuel line. Anybody have any suggestions? I don't want to screw it up on my first winterization.

Also, do people remove and clean their PCV valve every year? Is it difficult to remove?

Should be able to remove the K&N fliter pretty easily and treat it like Indmar says.

We always ran a remote fuel line or sprayed right into the cylinders on the newer monsoons with the intake plenums (yours included)

Follow up...I heard from Larry from Indmar...he said to follow the Indmar manual instruction which is to remove the flame arrestor and spray in the opening.
