No data from ECU last 24 seconds (what does this mean)

I have an 07 LSV and once last weekend right after cranking to pull a wakeboarder, boat ran fine during session but I turned it off after they fell and turned it back on and never saw the message again that day. While the message was up none of the gauges worked and the message was the only thing on the digital display. Is this something I need to be concerned about. I just had my oil changed and impeller changed so it is not like the boat is not being cared for.

My boat was doing some weird stuff a little while ago, giving me some crazy fault codes. It turned out to be a loose main ground on the engine block, as well as a loose 12v+ on the starter. These were tightened and problem hasn't been back. I tightened these at the begining of the season and they came loose. Check all of your 12v+ and 12v- connections to make sure they are tight, inlcuding the battery terminals and battery selector switch.

What you describe are the same type of symptoms mine had as well.

we had this same problem as well, when they made the boat they fitted it with a deep cycle battery which isn't the best for a boat,it happened about 15 times in about a month, and the dealer said its not really a problem, just the ecu is a bit slow starting up cause it only happened when we turned the boat on. so then one day the battery just died, so the dealer gave us a new battery, and we haven't seen the ecu no data thing pop up since!

and no you don't have to be worried about it, even if it does happen the worst that can happen is you wont have any of the dash working. take it to your dealer and get them to sort it out.
