Illusion tower adjustments?

Folks, I have a 2004 VLX with an Illusion tower. Last couple of rides I noticed a little creaking in the tower at the hinge points and after watching very close I can see the gap at the rear bolt area opening very slightly when a skiker or boarder loads up in the turn. More on the right side than the left. The boat is at home this week so I removed the rear bolts and folded the tower for an inspection. The bolts where tight but not overly as I undid them with a regular hex (allen) wrench. I see there is a very slight egg shape to the through hole(upper tower part) on the right side and the left side looks ok. Any ideas on how to snug this joint up a bit?

If you have bushings then they need to be replaced. If not you may want to drill out the tower and put some in. Some Illusion towers have them and some fit the bolt hole in the aluminum. I just put one on my 01 Wakesetter and had to do some mods. Good luck
