Yes, I looked at the pics in resources and I still cant tell. Yes I may be retarded.

I originally thought I had a 2001 wakesetter VLX, we bought the boat used from a Malibu dealership who told us it was a wakesetter and the title says wakesetter, came with wakesetter graphics, tower, ballast, ect.

Then I heard about the fakesetters(Sunsetter on diamond hull w/ wakesetter options). Didn't think much of it until I noticed the sunsetter sticker next to my throttle.

So then I had a fakesetter? No big deal we love the boat?

Then I was told by sombody on here I may have a Sunsetter VLX on the wake hull??? I didnt even know that existed?

Please take a look and give your opinions, again I have looked at the photos comps in resources and my chine seems to slopes less that the diamond but more than the wake???

I vote wake hull but the picture is at a funny angle.

For what its worth lots of Wakesetters have sunsetter capacity plates on them, its just how the boat was certified through the Coast Guard.

I vote wake.

But we really should make this a poll.

The strap is right over the area where you would look to tell the difference, but it looks like a wake hull to me.

It's a wake hull! Not the best of pics but if it was a Diamond we would all see it rigth away.

If it says wakesetter on the ownership than you ahve a wakesetter, or is it a sporty?Crazy.gif

regarding Wakesetter versus Sunscape, i thought i recalled that the Sunscapes did not have center ballast or did not have the ballast guage in LCD of the dash.....i could be wrong though. can anyone validate?
