Any reason not to buy a 2010 VTX?

Gettin rid of the 04 LSV (great boat) 21.6 Sunscape for the 2010 VTX. Been looking for the past few days for reviews and real world experience. Skiers Pier is givin me a great deal (I think) for the whole package. Anybody have an opinion?

Thanks

Rich

Which one of their 2010 VTXs are you looking at? I would be sure to get the wedge or power wedge, I think one of the in stock boats didn't have one.

There is a VTX on my lake and they can do everything behind that boat. They are pretty serious about wake boarding and claim to have upwards of 4000 pounds of ballast in it. It throws one heck of a wake for a 20 footer and handles well when loaded. If your not a slalom junkie I think it's the perfect package. Wakeboard, ski, surf, or anything else, it seems to be able to do it all.

greeeat boat! And I am a slalom junkie and on a diamond hull the ski wake is great too!

The boarding wake and surfing wake are much better than my '02 21LSV

I have a 2010 VTX and absolutely love it. I am a skiier and the ski wake is excellent for a v drive and anyone can wakeboard and surf behind this boat no problem. I went from a 21.5 ft boat to this and there is only a minor feeling or a little less room. You cannot go wrong with this boat in my opinion.

yep love my vtx to bits only thing i would change is to get the wake hull, we bought the boat when we were skiers and opt for the cut diamond and now all we do is wakeboard

Do you really think the wake hull will make much difference?

I've skied and boarded both. Makes quite a bit of difference when skiing, but very little difference when boarding or surfing, which can easily be corrected with weight.

No but if all you do is wakeboard, a wake hull would just make more sense.

I'd put a hafty bet down that the diamond is much better for resale.

Not to split hairs but I'm pretty sure that in 2004 the lsvs were 21 feet even. In 2005, they went to 21 6. So, sizewise you're closer than you may even realize. if you're getting diamond hull please post wake pictures of your lsv and vtx!

Interesting - my dealer orders in all boats with the Diamond hull (VTX, VLX, LSV etc) and they feel there is not a noticable differnce or the versitility of the diamond outweighs the slightly bigger wake. Reading some of the comparisions etc before I purchased mine it appeared to me that there was not that much difference. I remember reading that some of the pros actually prefer the diamond hull. I am happy with the diamond as I do enjoy skiing as well.
