cleaning a black rub rail

Recommended Posts

I know I have seen this post. I'm probably just going to replace the insert next year. But is there a good way to clean the rub rail insert so that it will last a little longer. It's the worst looking thing on my boat.

Until you get a better answer from one of the techs on here - they've recommended steel wool & acetone in previous posts for removing marks, but didn't list the grade of steel wool.

Hey Pete, you should write a manual on this to go along with your winterization manual. :Tease3::tease1:

Yeah,

Then I could add all the red arrows I wanted. Bah ha ha.

BTW, I started writing my own winterizing manual and just Stabil-ing the fuel turned into a 2 page doc. I said fughettaboutit.
