I am considering installing a transom light for nighttime swimming. Does anyone have any suggestions as to the best light package for this boat, and for my application. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

I thought the same thing when I was thinking about installing them. But in the end, when you light them up, the fish all come to the light. So no one swims.

I think these are mounted through the hull and are a little more invasive to install. But damn they are bright. Maybe David (E.M.) might know a thing or tow about them.

We use Abyss(our best) and Mako(very cost effective) underwater LED lights. They are surface-mount and require no more than a 3/16-inch transom penetration for the wire passageway. While they are dependent on motion and water for cooling, voltage is managed on the more intense versions so that you can safely run any of these at full speed when the transom is out of the water. We use a true underwater poly caulk (not silicon or 5200) that still allows removal and serviceability without risk to the gelcoat. And we provide detailed instructions. If you are a do-it-yourselfer, this is a very straight forward procedure. White and blue transmit the best underwater while the red bandwidth does not do as well. Certainly blue is the most popular choice. Some of the basics.
