Need Help!

I have a few questions for anybody who has installed a Comptech pivoting hydrofoil rack on an illusion x tower.

How is your ski orientated (obviously foil up), but pointing fwd or aft? and why?

Secondly, what angle (as in 9 o'clock or 11 o'clock or degrees would be better) did you install the rack and why? Did that angle have to deal with clearance issue with the ski and tower when pivoting?

Lastly, has anybody thought about machining the adapter plate or adding some anti-torsion pins to avoid drilling more holes in the illusion tower, or would that be too much load on the stock tower hole with only one bolt holding it on?

Anybody who has pics of their Comptech rack, please show.

I have an XS so I can't comment about the mounting of the rack, but I can tell you that I mounted mine facing aft so the foil goes up along the tower as shown:

Thanks for the feedback.

I had originally planned to install mine just like yours with the foil mast vertical and the ski parallel to the water, pointing aft. However, the install photos I recieved from SS had it rotated 45 degrees, the foil mast was parallel to the tower and the ski was pointed aft and up at 45 degrees? This doens't make sense to me as you would have to exert more force to swing it into the boat lifting it up slightly? I am wondering if they reccomend the angled mount to reduce the trosional load while the ski is on the tower? The install instructions never mentioned an actual angle just had photos???
