2000 Malibu Sunsetter

I am looking at a 2000 sunsetter and was wondering about the stringer and floor construction. Can anyone tell me if the stringers are wood or if there is wood in the floor? Any wood in the boat anywhere? What are the stringers and floor constructed with? Is the floor foamed? Any info would be very helpful. Thanks

Not sure what year they stopped using wood, but I had a '99SLXI and there was no wood in that... I'm 99.99% positive there is no wood in your boat!

Others will chime in on when they stopped using wood...

Welcome!

No wood. IIRC '97 was actually the first year they stopped putting wood anywhere.

My previous boat was a 2000 Sunsetter LX. Great all around boat with a lot of room. The only thing I ever disliked about the boat was that the "trunk" couldn't be opened from the swim platform.

Thanks for the info. I appreciate the welcome as well. I think I will have to seriously look in this boat. Has low hours and looks clean on pictures but an in person inspection will tell all. Kerry
