Helm / Dash Updates

Hi All,

Has anyone ever done any modifications to improve the appearance on the older dashes in these boats? I have an '01 VLX and the boat is in awesome shape, it's just my helm looks like it's from the 1970's =) I haven't been able to find any third party companies that sell updated dashes or anything. Does anyone know of anything?

Thanks in advance!

I don't know what an '01 dash looks like but I did some updating to my '95. Inexpensive and has held up for ~6 yrs so far.

Do you have a before pic?

No sorry I don't. It was basically the same. I changed the switches and installed new breakers. The original switches were all on the left side, and the stereo was on the right. I installed the larger rocker switches, spreading them to both sides with a few extras, and moved the stereo below the helm into the box. Of course all new wiring to go with it.

The upper dash was broken loose from the base so I had to rebuild it to secure it down. Still solid after several years.
