Padel Position Sensor

Recommended Posts

Hey Yall,

My first post here, but maybe not a good one.

My boat came up with a couple engine faults and is now in limp mode on the lake.

It has given me the following codes:

EtcPps Range SPN65604 CMO & EtcPps 12 Correlation SPN 65613 CMO

From what i understand from reading previous posts, this is prolly a fault with the Padel Position Sensor.

Where exactly is this thing located? can I change it myself on the water? cuz right now she only idles and I'm a bit from any launch.

Any quick replies would be super handy.

Also, anyway of getting it out of limp mode? even temporarily? Ive tried the three starts thing to no evail.

thanks

Not keeping up with the latest technology from indmar, I have no idea what that code means. But I do know that a fault with the throttle position sensor will not put your boat in limp mode.

indmar confirmed that the codes are pointing to the padel postition sensor, which is sealed and mounted within the morse throttle control.

Waiting for new throttle now.

Apparently it is a commen problem, hoping its a quick fix

new pedal position sensor roughly costs $200cdn

fairly easy to install

now boat is out of limp mode, and works great, but still throws the same inactive codes...but no active codes....

I think i need a dealers computer to clear them.

Glad it was a easy fix, did they tell you not to overtourque the bolts? that's what causes the issue to begin with. If the bolts are too tight it cracks the circuit board with all the vibration from the boat.

Correct, you will need diacom to clear the inactive fault codes.
