Overheating Response

Recommended Posts

I'm about to help a friend with an overheating issue he has with his Response LXI. It seems to run a little warm under normal conditions(185) but when he is skiing behind it at 33 mph it slowly creeps up to 205 and turns on the alarm. We have already replaced the impeller which showed some wear but nothing to impressive. This set up is different than most I have seen. It has a closed cooling system which was full when we checked it. I'm leaning towards a plugged heat exchanger but before I pull it out and flush it I thought I would see if anyone had any input.

Thanks

Try taking the hose from the lower end of the transmission cooler off and clean the screen out.

I have an Lxi and was having the same problem until the screen was clean.
