What is this?

I have a 2006 vride with the 320 LCR, and I was down in the engine compartment this afternoon and discovered this item rolling around back by the drain plug.

Any ideas? It feels lite like aluminum, and it looks like it has been there for some time.

Any help would be great.

Thanks.

If memory serves me right that is a piece of the hardware they used for the X tower to ship the boats from the factory with the tower in the down position. It was one of the pins that was used in conjuntion with other hardware.

Thanks. So that means happy boating tomorrow, without worrying about the mystery part.

I will second this. If you ever pull your tower pins, you will see they are very similar.

Yep. No worries.
