Just wondering if anyone here has attempted to retrofit ZO into an '07 or older Malibu...Just starting the adventure and looking for any insight.

I've not heard anyone who has done it and know of just one person who has done it on a nautique. you realize what all is going to be involved right?

not sure what year your boat is, but I put Perfect pass SG in my 02, and it worked 100% great from the start. The guys at PP were awesome and the system worked awesome. Why not do PP if you dont have TBW?

Boat is an '07

'07's are DBW

Have ECM required and ZO head unit

Stargazer is in the boat already, works fine, but as stated by 85 Barefoot, I am a tournament skier adn the world runs on ZO.

As far as I have learnt so far the ECM I have needs to be reflashed @ dealer (next week appt) there is a harness pigtail that is required from Malibu to connect to the ZO head unit that splices to the main harness.

As far as theories go for '07's it looks relativly simple...

Was just seeing if anyone else has gave it a shot.

thx

It's no biggie. On a 07-08 with the MEFI ecm you need to get the eControls ecm that simulates the MEFI, Zero-Off (pro recommended), and for ease of time and labor a few plug'n play harness's from Malibu. It's not cheap, ($3500) but if you're keeping the 07 or 08 for awhile, and want to have the same pull as you'll get in the tournaments.....
