Help Needed Determining Engine Size

Hey All,

Hoping someone can help me to determine which engine size/variant I have in my boat. I bought a 2004 Wakesetter VLX last year. Love the boat! MLS makes a great wake for boarding. Adding wedge makes a great surfing wake. She purrs like a kitten. For some reason I started wondering today which engine I have in my boat. Last year I had to have the ECM replaced and I am pretty sure that the dealership was dealing with Indmar for this. Question is, what size engine is it? How do I determine this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx

RTS, Thanx for feedback. I did look through the docs I received when I bought the boat. I did find the Manufacturers Statement of Origin on boat. It indicates that the engine is a 320hp Indmar LCR 350ci EFI. She runs great but does seem to suck down the fuel. I guess when the engine is pushing about 5000 lbs through the water, it does tend to suck down the fuel.

If the engine has no billet emblem to designate its model, then it most likely is a 320 LCR.

Giveaway is that is has the older style cast iron manifolds versus the newer EXT exhaust.

Why? It was about a $1000 IIRC to upgrade to the Monsoon for a whopping 20 more horsepower.

Just surprised they would have put the lcr in a vlx. They don't do that now, do they? YEs I realize the 2004 vlx was 6 " shorter but still.

Yes they offered up the LCR as the base engine in the VLX up until 08' anyways, not sure about 09'+. The upgrade was $1200.

Actually, from the info I have found, the base engine in the 2004 VLX was a 310 HP Vortec. Apparently, the original owner of the boat decided to posse up some cash for the extra 10 HP. I think the 320 engine is plenty powerful enough. With MLS full, 8 people and all of our gear in the boat, the engine has no problem pulling up boarders. My buddy goes 315 lbs and the boat gets him up quick. Of course you need to give it about 3/4 throttle to do so but hey, it works.

Oh ya, what does LCR stand for?
