MUX Switches, Engine ECU and Stereo Problems

Recommended Posts

I have read various topics which have been very helpful but nothing has worked to date. Here are the symtoms:

The engine loses ECU connection and all gauges go to zero and it happens at various times but pretty often (every 5 minutes) and it says... no engine ecu in 15 sec, 25 sec, etc.

The stereo every so often turns off. The actual stereo has powered off, you can hear the amps turn off too and it turns back on automatically after a few seconds usually (I can hear the sub/amp turn off and back on).

The MUX switches dont work at times too. The wedge will go down but wont come up sometimes unless I power down the boat, turn off the batteries and turn everything back on.

Sometimes I will start the blower before starting the engine for a few minutes. Then when I try to turn it off, it does not go off. I usually have to kill battery power to turn it off.

The speed control will be turned on to "Speed ON" at idle conditions then after giving some throttle it changes to "Speed OFF" and I cant turn it back on, there is no speed control as I exceed my setpoint like speed control was never turned on. I also found that it will work sometimes then I put the throttle in neutral for a second and it turns off and will not turn back on.

More with the speed control, I have turned speed on to "Speed ON" (while going 2-3 mph) with a setpoint of 18.8 mph, then I hit the throttle and the dash says "Speed OFF" and even if I give full throttle the boat does not go faster than 15 mph.

The ECU connections have all been checked by the dealer. Both MUX panels have been changed with new ones. The ECU under the dash has been changed. All the wiring harness connectors have been checked. The dealer techs don't have a plan yet. Any info that could help? The boat was purchased with the option 2 battery setup with the switch. The batteries are turned off every day after done using the boat.
