i have 93 echelon open bow and picking up a 94 sunsetter open bow. what is the difference between the boats. they both the same to me. same dash, seating layout etc etc. thank you

I think the echelon is all fiberglass and the sunsetter has some wood? I'm not positive though. I know the Echelon was the first model to be all fiberglass and the entire Malibu line went no wood in 95.

The last page of the brochure (in the resources) says composite stringers on the Sunsetter, so should be all good.

The Sunsetter in '95 was built on the same hull as your Echelon. In '94, it was the old hull & you may feel that it's a significant step backward in terms of performance. Demo demo demo before you purchase. Also, I question the accuracy of that brochure's statement. The Skier & first Sunsetters (any built prior to '95) were essentially the same boat & they all had some wood in them.
