Last one. These are cheap enclosures sprayed with truck bedliner and satin black paint. Matches the tower nicely. Not my enclosure of choice, but they came in a package deal with the JL speakers. They are held to the tower with 3" clamps..........yet another mounting option for the G3.

My very First thought...How will you ever keep all those waterspots off1

After that...my thoughts were, "Ooo, Ahhh, Wow, Nice, Sweet, etc"

Very sharp looking boat. Like the new bow seating with cup-holders. Also love the ineriour colours in general.

1 thing I noticed, There's a wrinkle in the rear left corner cushion.

Other thing I noticed was the "horn" on top of the tower (go ahead and laugh) which I now know is the air-sling. I figured it's for hydrofoiling, but what does it do?

Wasn't trying to be a downer and it wouldn't bother me in the meantime but thats probably an easy fix that a dealer could and should take care of, especially since he's only been out once.

Just poking Tease2.gif . I'd ask the dealer too, it's too nice of a boat and too much $ for a simple re-staple of vinyl.

The Air Sling isn't really a hydrofoil thing so much as it is for guys goin big who can appreciate a little bump on their landings to help save their arms, shoulders, elbows, low back, etc.

It was developed by hydrofoilers, & is definitely used more by hydrofoilers. And Mike & John made a tower with it integrated in it.... called the Power Tower.

But I haven't heard anything about how the funky new MC tower works yet. I heard that MC bought into Murphy's Pure Vert ballast concept a couple years ago & they have yet to implement it into their boats.

Sweet boat SkySkier. Enjoy the new ride!

Awesome looking boat, congrats  .

We tinted the windows on ours; I definitely recommend it. Here is the my post if you're interested:

Not that I want everyone to have a black boat, but I've had no trouble at all keeping mine free of waterspots. The black gelcoat does not get hot either. The darker portions of my interior and the metal parts get much hotter than the gelcoat.

How do you like your mirror arm? Post some more pics. She's beautiful!!

Um, well I can tell you that when the summer temps hit CA it does get hot in fact It's hard to wipe it down w/ vinegar as the mist dries almost instantly. yes the dark grey interior and even the grey floor gets too hot to sit/stand on as well. The temps in SE Idaho aren't as extreme. Waterspots is all dependent upon the type of water you frequent, not all bodies of water are equal some have much higher mineral content then others.

Thanks for the congrats and compliments! I truly LOVE this boat! There were several things about my old boat that bothered me. Some just a little, some a lot. All of those issues were addressed with the 2010 boats. If I had to complain about something, it would be the stowed position for the bimini. My bimini is either on or off the boat, so the stowed position is not an issue for me. The new Rockford black box functions as it should. The bimini is longer and has a thoughtfully placed zipper for hooking the line around the ball. The G3 is rock solid and has surpassed my expectations. The boat fits under an 8FT garage door without removing anything from the tower.

I do not miss changing the oil filter on my old HH engine at all. This boat has the Monsoon with a remote oil filter within easy reach. So far I am running the 537 factory prop with wedge but no ballast and the boat gets out of the hole just fine without the extra HH power. When my pro level riding bud gets off the injured list, I'm sure I will switch to the Acme 1235. I am curious to see how well the Monsoon does with the 1235 and the boat slammed.

My last boat was black and some of you may remember I had water spots. I was driving three blocks from the ramp to my house before I did the wipe down. After I restored the finish and started wiping down at the ramp, no more water spots. This boat was waxed by the dealer before I picked it up. I don't know what they used, but it is holding up well. I wipe down at the ramp with a semi damp towel and that's it. No vinegar, no spray detailer, and no spots. I should probably mention that the water in my nuke lake is filtered, heated, and distilled. :yahoo: I did pick up some Collinite's Fleet wax so that 06vlx can rest easy. Didn't mean to add to your stress bro. I hear it's been a rough week up there in the hood. :guns:

Three coats, got it.

One more thing............snap out carpet (or tatami) is where it's at. My boat is kept outside part of the time and it still smells new. No musty odor like the last two Malibu's. The tatami mat is made of something very similar to ski rope. Extremely durable and probably stain proof, or close to it. It is a bit slippery when wet. I do warn people about that. You really don't want to 303 this one.

Btw, I am aware of the botched vinyl on the rear seat. Thanks to those who pointed that out. I will get to that over the winter because right now I am having TOO MUCH FUN!

Oops! Bad timing on my part. Looks like my post was directed at yours but it was not. I was just relating my experience which has been pretty good. You're probably right about the temperatures; the water is always cold here.
