I"m about to drill...

So I got my bimini put it together and it looks great. I didn't have an extra set of hands so I mounted it to a few peices of scrap 1X that I had laying around. This is where I'm thinking I am going to mount it. I would have liked to have it about 2-3 inches further forward but there is no place to mount the center mounts becuase of the windshield. This placement has my Pylon going through right smack in the middle of the back pannel, which I like. I did some measurements and it looks like my rack and the bow cable will clear without problems.

Any last minute comments? I'm going to drill in about an hour!!

It might be too late but, you could read this.

Thanks Pete, I had read that before. Very good info... I chamfered the holes with my drermel, no cracks and the bimini looks great! Just waiting on my canvas guy to cut the hole for my Pylon.

Just a quick review for the 3 bow bimini from Overtons, I got the Sharkskin top. I didnt want to spring for the Sunbrella because of the short season here in VT.

For the price the thing is pretty sweet. Very sturdy, I am thinking I will upgrade the hardware from plastic to Stainless some day but for >250 bucks its pretty nice.
