While I was out on Lake Washington last weekend I got an egnine fault code. Took the boat to Bake's in a full panic since I am leaving for a week long vacation at Lake Chelan in about an hour. Thanks to Paul and the Bake's Crew for squeeezing my boat in this week with a full service schedule so that it would be ready by today for the family vacation. I know Paul had to stay late one night to make sure it got dailed in. Thanks guys!!!!

That's not what I saw when your boat was there. What's the real story.... Of course they fixed you up, that's what they do there. Now maybe you can understand how we feel about them.

I don't think he left anything out. The engine thru a fault code I've never heard of and is not even in the shop manual. So I had to call it into Indmar to sort it out. The code was a "bad intelligence" fault code, when the code was tripped ignition voltage read 9.6v but during extended cranking that is normal to see voltage drop that low. When i talked to Indmar they said to recalibrate the ECM and if the fault code comes back after that to replace the ECM itself but i could never get the code to come back after the recalibration. Indmar said the fault code can be caused by low/high or erratic voltage (loose connection) Everything checked out great from the battery terminals to the engine ground and positive so I think this was a real fluke issue.

So it's all good!

Guess I stand corrected, that's why I don't work on boats.

Just got back from 7 days on Lake Chelan and 1 day on Lake Couer D'alene and everything ran great! Thanks again.

And we just got back from 4 days a Chelan and 7 days at CDA with our boat as well:).... was AMAZED at the number of Malibu's on CDA... seemed like 9 out of 10 wakeboats were 23LSV's. Guess the guys at the Yacht Club are selling a ton of boats over there. Yesterday on the way home we saw a guy drop his Colbalt on I90 up on Snoqualmie pass.. not sure what happenend.. it was right at the snow shed on I90... but the truck was in the ditch and the Cobalt was sitting in the road next to the trailer... outdrive was all chunched up... looked like the boat slid down the road without the trailer for a bit. bummer day for that guy.

I just talked to the owner of the Cobalt on the phone. He said a women in a Volvo fell asleep and rear ended him doing about 80MPH!! He said a witness said the boat and trailer flew up about eight feet and then slamed down into the guard rail. He's trying to work with the womens insurance company but they are trying everything they can to not pay out anywhere near what it's real value is......I hate insurance companies!!!!!!!!

Bake's is an awesome dealer, glad to see them go the extra mile to help someone out.

Chevy makes some pretty awesome engines, right behind Cummins.

That would explain the smashed up Volvo in the snow tunnel. It was a construction area, spied limit was 50mph, narrow lanes, etc.
