Sold my 2003 wakesetter vlx and looking to replace with one of these two boats. Was told by a malibu rep at the boat show the new wakesetter vlx hull rocks for surfing. Looking for help or advice.

I can't speak for the VLX but the LSV wake rocks. Put just one extra 750 in the locker and you've got a wall of water behind you. I would think a bigger boat would have a bigger wake, but maybe not.

Both are great boats. I have worked closely with both. However, experience has taught me the 23 throws a larger longer wave. The wave on the VLX seems shorter and taller. The idea is to create a wave that is both long and tall. The 23 does it well. Especially with the power wedge.
