Yes I will be gitting the front ballast in the new VLX! It appears that everyone is either pointing me towards purchasing a Landlock 5'-6 to learn on then quickly purchasing an upgrade or just starting off with the Phase 5.

If I would have started with a Phase5 Oogle we would probably not have the variety of boards that we do. It really just depends on what you want. We currently have 5 surfboards and I like to ride all of them. Each board is fun and has its own character, variety is the spice of life or so they say. If I could only own two boards they would be the Phase5 Oogle and the 5’6” Hyperlite Broadcast.

If I am in the crew I just do as I am told, hopefully that just requires staying in one place reducing ballast 12 ounces at a time.

Yep. Definately need the front ballast. I end up putting some extra up there depending on what we are doing.

Getting rid of my CWB Ride, and probably going for the Oogle too!
