#$&%# waterspots!! has anyone tried the "non wax" approach?

Recommended Posts

Starbrite w/teflon!! Definately the best so far. Whatevers in it seems to be preventing the waterspots from getting baked into the gelcoat. (Uh, I guess that'd be the Teflon). Been wiping it down everytime with Wizards Mist'n'Shine also.

I think my days of using wax are over.

A good wax will do wonders to prevent spotting on the hull. The previous owner and myself have both used Collinite's Insulator wax on my Skier. It goes on fast and comes off easy. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a 20+ year old boat that looks this good that hasn't been wetsanded or refinished. Rockon.gif These pics were taken late summer about 4-5 months since the last waxing....
